Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, is a pristine haven for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Spread over approximately 45sq km at an altitude of 2,420 meters, it offers stunning views of the Himalayas, including peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Panchachuli.

The sanctuary is home to diverse flora, including dense oak, rhododendron, and pine forests.

Its rich wildlife includes leopards, Himalayan black bears, barking deer, goral (mountain goat), jungle cats, flying squirrels, porcupines, and langurs. It is also a paradise for birdwatchers, with over 200 species such as monals, koklass pheasants, eagles, and woodpeckers.
